throwback travel thursdays // japan 2009.

One of many memorable and uber fun sibling trips of yesteryears. In fact, this may be our first international siblings' trip ever! And like many siblings - yes, I still consider James and his sisters as one of my own - we, too, hang out constantly and send random email/text messages to each other all the time and plan ambitious trips like Japan. The endless laughter, the constant unhindered chatter, the good-natured jeering, the LOUD unabashed fun, the need to do everything and anything together - if this is y'all, then you know what I'm talking about when I say that if the rents were around, you wouldn't have adventures like tapping out a tiny Japanese bar with comical flair (somewhere up on those bar walls is a pic of us 'Loud Americans' with the bar owners) or running through a quiet Japanese neighborhood at night like ninjas (albeit, in a very loud and very un-ninja like prowess) or spending the whole day playing old school video games in Akihabara or embarking on a late night hunt all over Tokyo in search of the Giant Gundam robot or reconnecting over a very jolly reunion with Japanese travelers you've met in Greece.

But the best part of traveling with siblings - the deep meaningful conversations shared over intimate dinners and personal stories retold on long subway rides and reminiscing over funnies on the many unplanned randomness. I love you guys!
